When it comes to purchasing a thin sheet thermoforming machine, Machinecraft offers 3 different types of thermoforming machines

  • The first is the low cost, low cycle per minute AM Series machine with separate forming and cutting stations, good for starting out into the thin sheet thermoforming business

  • As your volumes grow, it would make more sense to invest a little more and upgrade your AM Series with Machinecraft’s INLINE Series

  • The INLINE Series comes in 2 variants - Pneumatic version which runs at 15 cpm and Servo version which runs at 30 cpm. The INLINE Series is a complete automatic Form Cut Stack Machine with optional Holing Station.



AM Series

The AM Series is a starter range vacuum forming machine. The machine is a standalone vacuum forming only machine with a separate hydro-pneumatic press which cuts the parts in a separate station. These machines are low cost and work well for products with low volumes.

The machine features a roll feeder system, spike chain for PP and PET materials, Heating system similar to the one described for PF1, Forming Station, and Pneumatic Shear Add on


Roll Feeding System

Sheet Roll is to be manually placed on the chain when you first load the machine. The sheet is then indexed by the Servo Driven Chain.


Heating System

The machine comes with a single heater with infrared ceramic elements. The heating system is controlled by PID temperature controllers.


Forming System

The machine has 2 Pneumatic Cylinders that drive the forming platen. The mould lies on the forming platen with Vacuum vents. Vacuum is applied in the forming area to form the sheet in the shape of the mould


Chain Adjustment System

The machine indexes the sheet automatically as per the set timer using the Servo Driven chain. The Chain can be adjusted to required sheet roll width using hand wheel.



Machines come with a simple Human Machine Interface to adjust timings on the machine


Pneumatic Shear Add-on

Optional pneumatic sheer can be added on the machine to cut the sheet.


Hydro-Pneumatic Press Add-On Module

The formed parts from the AM Machine can be individually cut using a hydro-pneumatic punching press. This add-on module can be purchased along with the machine to enable a human operator to transfer the formed parts from the machine to the press to get individually cut parts.

AM-Ex Series

The AM Series also comes in a special CE Standardised Automatic Vacuum Forming version.

In this model, the machine is designed as a closed system with guards in place. The heater bank movement in this model is using pneumatic cylinder. The machine comes with a special exit chute post the cross cutter. The design allows a total clean room type production of vacuum formed parts. This machine has been designed with parts from premium suppliers like Festo, Mitsubishi, Elstein Germany, etc. The machine comes with a 7' touch screen HMI and is run using PLC system.

Pneumatic or Fully Servo Option

The Inline series or the Form-Cut-Stack Machine comes in 2 standard sizes is of forming areas 500x600 & 600x800 mm. They are either 3 station or 4 station machines with stations being that of heating, forming, punching, optional holing  and stacking stations.

Pneumatic Version

The forming station is driven by pneumatic cylinders, punching station is servo driven and stacking is using pneumatic cylinders. The machine runs at max 15 cycles/min.


Servo Version

The Servo version has the forming station is driven by servo motors, punching using servo motors and stacking using servo motors as well. This is a fully automatic high speed machine which can run upto 30 cycles/min.


The INLINE Series has been designed to form thin sheet products using vacuum and pressure forming technologies

Machinecraft's INLINE Series is a precision, high-speed continuous thermoforming machine in a compact and powerful package developed for the international thermoforming industry. Available with 3 or 4 station models: the stations being for forming, optional holing, steel rule punching and stacking. 

The INLINE Series can be used for forming a wide variety of materials - such as PVC, PS, APET and PP.

With international demand for thermoformed products expanding into food packaging, medical packaging, retail packaging and many others, the INLINE Series is designed for worldwide application requirements.


Roll Feeding Unwinder System

Thin Sheet Roll is placed on the unwinder system which automatically unwinds the sheet roll and forms a loop in front of the chain in-feed. The loop is controlled by photocell. Pneumatic Roll loading option is offered for loading heavy rolls. 



Chain Feeding System

Film enters the in-feed section from the unwinder section. Edge of the film is heated before the film enters the spike chain. The film from the in-feed is transported into different stations by the spike chain accurately using a servo motor based driven system with an accuracy of +/- 0.3 mm. Where the material used is PP, there is an optional chain expander system available where the chain track width is pneumatically stretched to control the sagging of plastic film. 

Sandwich Heating Station

Top & Bottom Heaters with Infrared Ceramic Elements are attached on the machine.

Heaters are controlled by the PLC and have zone settings available on the HMI for even temperature distribution. 

Pre-heating oven is optionally available. 

Forming Station

The Mould is placed on the Forming Platen. The Forming Platen are Pneumatically driven as per the timing set using the HMI. The forming platens of INP5065/S is servo driven.

The INV series is fitted with a high capacity reservoir and a vacuum pump to create an instant vacuum.

INP series is the pressure forming version of the Inline range - designed for high speed operation and improved forming definition. Forming uses compressed air.

The mould is water cooled to prevent overheating and may be fitted with a plug to assist material distribution.  

Hole Punch Station

This station is optionally available for punching holes useful for applications such as punnet trays, nursery trays, euro slots on blisters, etc. The upper platen is servo motor driven and the lower platen is pneumatically operated. The complete assembly can be moved along the length of the machine by motor for precise positioning. 

Punching Station

The Punching Unit follows the Forming System. Servo Motor driven steel-rule punch press is fitted as standard. The upper platen is servo motor driven, with adjustable height settings to allow varying tool heights. The complete assembly can be moved along the length of the machine by motor for precise positioning. 

Stacking Station


The stacking unit is pneumatically driven. After Punching, the parts are down stacked on a conveyor belt as per the count settings on the HMI.

A second variant of stacker is also available for up-stacking with or without push-out. 

Trim-winding Station

The trim-winding Station winds the left-over plastic sheet trim after punching. 

The trim-winding station also comes with an optional push-out system for ease of removal of the sheet.
