XL-Specific Engineering

Closed Chamber with Pre-Blow

Bottom heater retracts to allow controlled sheet sag, then air pressure pre-stretches the sheet before mold contact, ensuring uniform wall thickness even on 1000mm deep draws across large forming areas.

Multi-Zone Infrared Heating

Individual zone control across top and bottom heater banks for precise temperature profiling — critical for HDPE and other materials with narrow forming windows.

Sheet Sag Detection

Infrared sensors continuously monitor sheet sag during heating, automatically adjusting heater output to prevent excessive sagging on extra-large sheets.

Servo-Driven Forming Platen

Programmable speed profiles for optimal sheet-to-mold contact during the forming stroke, with up to 50-ton clamping force.

AM Series

Roll-Fed Forming Machines

The AM Series is a semi-automatic, simple to use roll-fed forming machine. Material is indexed from the heating oven into the forming station using a spike chain. Available in two variants: AM-V (vacuum only) and AM-P (air pressure up to 6 bar). The forming press is pneumatic or servo motor driven with a platen size of 500 x 600 mm. Once the shot is formed it is cut using a pneumatic shot cutter.

Machine Features

AM-V — Vacuum Only

Uses only vacuum to produce parts. Single heating oven on top side with IR lamps. Pneumatic driven forming press. Ideal for sub-contractors and OEMs producing simple vacuum formed parts from roll stock.

AM-P — Pressure Forming (up to 6 bar)

Uses air pressure up to 6 bar for deeper draws and finer detail. Pneumatic or servo motor driven press. Servo version achieves up to 25 cycles/min (wet) and 40 cycles/min (dry).

Spike Chain Indexing

Material is indexed from the heating oven into the forming station using a spike chain for precise, continuous sheet feeding.

Automatic Shot Cutting

Pneumatic shot cutter at exit. Each cavitation is separated using a separate hydraulic press as an off-line process.

PLC Control with HMI

Recipe storage and recall, production monitoring, diagnostics, safety interlocks and emergency stops.
